When I started designing my perennial gardens I only planted a few roses, now I have too many to count. I don’t know what to say, I’m totally in love with the roses’ blooming process. One minute there is a tight bud, then it starts to open into an organized leafed flower, only to unfold into something totally different a few days later. To top it off my roses smell amazing. Yummmmy! In the morning I love to visit the dewy blossoms. Once the blooms have past I cut them and dry them carefully so they don’t mold. Once completely dried, I grind the petals and combine them with a transparent polymer/resin. I roll it into thin sheets and make each pen one at a time. Each individual pen is different; you can actually see the crushed rose petals. The unique texture and color comes directly from the blossoms. The pen uses a standard cross refill, easy how to instructions and a story card are included.
